Traversing the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area, The Overland Track is an Australian bushwalking track that stretches from Cradle Mountain to Lake St. Clair. It is one of the most famous hiking destinations in Australia, enjoyed by more than 9000 people every year.
The Overland Track was used for thousands of years by the aboriginal people of Tasmania and was consolidated after the 1931 expedition of fur trapper Bert Nichols. It passes through a wide array of landscapes, such as alpine plains, temperate rainforests, glacial mountains, and untamed rivers. Travelers usually take around 6 days to complete the track and can enjoy the beautiful scenery all year round.
