Corpse Brideâ„¢ Virtual Challenge is now live!
The Silk Road is an ancient network of trade routes that connect Europe, Asia, and Africa. It earned its name from one of the most valuable commodities traded along this route, the Chinese silk. While it officially served as a trading route, it was also the main way that ideas were exchanged between the different cultures that lived along this road.
One of the most popular travelers on the Silk Road is Marco Polo, a Venetian merchant, who traveled to China and recorded his adventures in writing. He served as an envoy of Mongol ruler Kublai Khan and returned to Venice with gifts of magnificent jewels.
